Hello traveler.
I've had this site for a few years now and it's always been a work in progress, basically just a playground for new grafix tricks or programming I've learned or wanted to practice. Right now I'm taking the leap and have replaced all HTML table structure with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). As anything worth doing, it's been pretty frustrating at times. I was inspired by CSS Zen Garden and decided to teach myself how to do this. One day I might even get brave enough to submit one of my own designs to the gallery. There's lots of reason why CSS is better, check out this humorous Seybold article if you want to learn more about the history of the Internet, the evolution of graphical programming and all jazz. And hey, guess what... the code here is valid! That means my CSS programming meets current W3C web standards. You can check it using that little CSS button in the bottom right corner. I used Adobe Macromedia Dreamweaver (code view, of course) and plenty of help from W3C CSS Tutorial to create each page.
The large image on this page should rotate each time you visit. You'll notice when you click one that each has it's own little article or commentary. I felt like doing something fun and interactive.
If you want to read more of my commentary, check out my blog or any of the articles I've written lately. You can also view our wedding photos or the photo gallery if you'd rather just look at pictures.
Welcome to the future of web design.
